You've waited all year and it's almost here - The 2018 Men's Grunt Fest will be Sunday, September 2 at 3:00pm!
I hope you will not only register but also get friends and their sons to register as well. Just like last year, I wanted to give you a few important reminders:
You are welcome to bring your own firearm (and ammo) and/or bow. We will provide the targets, clay pigeons, and food! Liberty Firearms Institute will be on site for you to purchase ammo if you need. No black powder due to the fire danger.
Each person must provide their own eye and ear protection. Prescription glasses or sunglasses are fine as long as they have plastic, shatterproof lenses.
Please bring your firearm(s) in either a case or holster. Please do not manipulate (clear, load, unload) any firearm other than on the firing line. Our desire is to have a safe, fun event for everyone and we appreciate you following the rules when it comes to firearms. Regardless of your past experience with firearms (or lack of), we are all going to adhere to the same safety rules.
Please park in the designated parking area to the west of the house. Again, please do not handle firearms unless on the range and on the firing line and only AFTER the mandatory Safety Meeting at 3:00 (see below).
Bow hunters - If you have a portable target, please bring it. Having actual archery targets will be a huge help (and more fun!).
*** If you desire to shoot a firearm at this event (yours or someone else's), there will be a MANDATORY Safety Meeting at 3:00pm SHARP. If someone does not attend this safety meeting, they will not be allowed to operate a firearm. No exceptions. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

YES!! We will have legal machine guns to shoot again this year courtesy of Rocky Mountain Gun Owners (RMGO)! These guns will be free for you to use - all you have to supply the ammo you want to shoot. If you have never fired a fully automatic gun before, this could be your once-in-a-lifetime chance! Liberty Firearms Institute will be on-site selling ammunition (cash or cards accepted).
If you have a gun that you would be willing to lend someone to shoot, please bring it.
We will have tomahawk and knife throwing again this year. Additionally, we are planning on having a live blacksmith demonstration.
Lastly: We need volunteers! If you are able, please reply to this email and let us know if you are willing to come early to help set up and/or stay after for tear down. You may also reply on the registration form.
Have a great rest of the summer and Lord willing we will see you on Sunday, September 2 for the 6th Annual Grunt Fest!
Blessings and thanks,
Mark Hotaling, Pastor
High Plains Harvest Church
P.S. In case you missed it, below is the link to register. We have capped this year's Men's Grunt Fest at only 100 men and boys so please get signed up today.

We at the Crossing love the apostle Paul's command for the pastors to Equip the saints for the work of the ministry as it builds up and matures the entire church. - Ephesians 4:11-16
One major way we accomplish this is through our Equip class. This 8 week class is offered once a year and highlights the Crossing's basic doctrine and practical life application of that doctrine. It is taught by a variety of pastors and leaders within the church. Some of the areas of teaching will hit on:
- The Bible - how is it put together and can we trust it?
- Who is God?
- What has Christ accomplished for us?
- Biblical Theology - how does the Old and New Testament relate?
- How do we live "on mission" at The Crossing?
- How can we help those around us in their struggle with sin?
This class is great for anyone in the church. It has been a great stepping stone for many people to get a taste for the deeper things of God. Many of the folks who have taken this class have gone on to be disciplemakers and leaders within our church.
This class is offered on Monday nights from 6:30-8:30pm. Class will begin on March 19th and end on May 7th. If you have specific questions, you can email Pastor Rich Gardner at email@example.com
If you are interested in taking this class you can register here:

Somehow, someway, every marriage will become a struggle. If you want to enjoy a beautiful, life-long relationship, you will need more than romance. You will need something deeper than shared interests and mutual attraction. According to best-selling author and marriage expert Dr. Paul David Tripp, you need realistic expectations, and you need radical commitments. Most importantly, you need grace.
Join us for the Crossing's marriage seminar featuring teaching from Paul Tripp. Cost is $10 per person ($20 for couple) and childcare will be provided.
Friday March 2nd - 7:00-8:30pm (If your kiddos have an early bed time, find a sitter and join us!)

The majority of this event will be a stream of Paul Tripp's most recent marriage event. We will also have engaging table discussions after each session. Join us as we see how the gospel, not the law will transform our lives and our marriages. You can view an excerpt of this event here.
This event is open to everyone - young/old & single/married. Healthy churches lead to healthy marriages. Join us.
